Will + Sarah – Engaged!

Will and Sarah are so unbelievably fantastic! When I met Sarah, I felt I had known her forever! We chatted for nearly two hours–covering everything from fitness to pregnancy with a bit of photography in between. Will and Sarah are too cute together and there’s no hiding that these two are so much in love. If you ask Will, he’s always loved her, but he had to wait an excruciatingly long 5 years for Sarah to even entertain the idea of dating him… but, of course, you’d hear a completely different story from Sarah:-)Happy Ending: those many years of wait definitely paid off–they are soon to be hitched this spring at the beautifully scenic Cathedral Oaks. Congratulations Will and Sarah!

Special thanks to Cooper for joining me in this fun session!

jason + katharine

I recently had the privilege to photograph Katharine and Jason in Oklahoma.  These two are both Sooners, so we got to do the session on the beautiful OU campus.  It was fun to get a campus tour during the session, especially the engineering building where they spent most of their time (because they’re smart like that).  These two were so fun to be around and it was fun seeing how much they enjoy each other. Their awesome dog Grant tagged along and I might have briefly considered taking him back to Texas with me…but only briefly:)

With the crazy heat we’ve been having, Katharine and Jason were troopers with an early morning session, followed up with another session later that night.  Katharine and Jason, thank you for the opportunity to shoot your engagement photos! Special thanks to Suzie for her talents and co-piloting skills.

summer faces

I was playing with my boy (with camera in hand) and thought, I wonder if he’ll take direction…. and, for a brief moment, he did! I don’t know if this is the case with all kids, but when I tell my boy to smile, he does this “bear my teeth and and squint my eyes”–more of a grimace than a grin. I usually have to catch him just before this “grin” or wait until the laughter fades to capture a genuine smile. I hope he never grows out of adorable.

Newborn Session-Killeen

With Daddy deployed and Mom anxiously awaiting their first child, they were soon in for a surprise! A couple weeks early, Tré decided it was time to meet his Mommy. It was the last thing Tré’s mom expected Wednesday morning. Going in for a routine check-up, she was not prepared for what she heard next: “We’re admitting you. You’re going to have a baby.” She quickly called her mom to be by her side and was rushed off to Labor & Delivery. Despite a few complications (and what pregnancy goes without?), Tré was born on Friday. I met the little guy a few days later. Tré’s Daddy will soon be coming home to see him, though he’s been keeping up with his progress via Skype. Tré is doing great and Mom and Grandma (though a little sleep deprived), are completely in love with the new addition to their family.

Below, is a sample of our *NEW* Tri-Fold Boutique cards. With a variety of sizes and shapes they are truly one-of-a-kind!

I worked with Tré’s mom in designing this cute card to announce his arrival. Too cute!!

New Baby Victoria!

Just a couple of weeks early and Victoria was ready to go! Mom and Dad were so thrilled (and a little surprised with the early arrival) to welcome their first child, Victoria. Mom was such a trooper with only half the effects of the epidural taking hold; but with a quick delivery, Victoria was here in no time!At two weeks old, she has very blue eyes is quite alert–as are the ever-cautious cats who periodically check on their new house guest.
