Rickey + Jordon {Temple Wedding Photography}

Congratulations to Rickey and Jordon! (I love shooting weddings with my friend, Melody!) Jordon can’t stop smiling and Rickey can’t take his eyes off her. The colors are lively and handmade details makes this wedding so personable–take a look at those boutonnieres! The weather is perfect for an outdoor ceremony at Settles Point–cool and breezy. The short and sweet ceremony brought laughter and smiles to the happy couple. Once the indoor reception begins, the clouds give way to buckets of rain, but nothing could have dampened the liveliness of this celebration. This couple is so sweet together and their eyes absolutely light up in each other’s presence. Congrats, Rickey and Jordon. This is wonderfully lovely.

Smiles {Temple Photography}

Smile. It’s contagious

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get a long without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

Everyday, my goal is to make someone smile. Who doesn’t like to smile? When I’m having a bad day, if somone/something makes me smile, I can (for a moment) forget my emotional bags and feel light, as if nothing else matters. Call it an ethereal time warp (albeit brief) that ostensibly changes my thoughts and emotion. How powerful a smile can be! You know what makes me smile? Happy people. Just take a stroll through our blog posts or take a gander at our re-vamped website (www.hedderlyphotography.com) for some great smile time. I love to smile and make others smile. It’s a win-win!

Cake Smash! {Temple Baby Photography}

A fabulous morning: meeting an incredibly wonderful family and getting to see the cutest little one-year-old, Eliana, smash the bejesus out of her cake! After a couple of hours cooped up on a car ride, Eliana is happy just to hang out with her mommy and daddy in the not so melt-your-face-off heat we’re having lately. I love how she snuggles right in with her daddy–yeah, this little girl is going to rule his world … that is, if she doesn’t alreadyWe capture the happy spontaneity with a couple of family shots and attempt to get the birthday girl on her own, but she has different plans–plans to be close (very close) to her mommy. Oh, these are my favorite sequences of the session! Daddy is making Ellie giggle and she is just loving on her mommy. So precious! Right before we’ve exhausted all the giggles, we plop her down right in front of her very own cake. Bam! Eliana wasted no time in smashing this thing; she put on her game face and the smashing commenced. Cake and icing everywhere–perfect! What a great ending to a fun shoot! Kennedy–One Year Old! {Temple Family Photography}

Kennedy is an absolute joy to be around! Fantastic personality with an impressive wardrobe and matching accessoriesWe definitely had to be on our toes to keep up with this cutie pie. Kennedy is constant movement with a smile, except… when we put a cake in front of her. She just froze and didn’t know what to do with it. When we gave her the go-ahead to make a mess, but Kennedy was rather suspicious, as if to say, you WANT me to make a mess? Curiosity eventually took hold and she decided to poke the cake to appease our coaxingToo funny! What a great time we had with this sweet little one year old and her lovely parents. Speaking of her parents…Fun Fact: Kennedy’s pink dress is the same dress her mommy wore on her first birthday–pretty cool! Enjoy!
